Our Activities
The increasing consumer demand for local organic produce through box schemes, shops, restaurants and farmers markets means there is an urgent need and a great opportunity to increase supply in the region.
Through our programme of courses, we are aiming to increase production and encourage producers to take advantage of new market opportunities. We are also involved in developing local food networks to co-ordinate and link producers with restaurants, markets and retailers.
WON works closely with key organic organisations including Leitrim Organic Farmers' Co-op, The Organic Centre, Northwest Organic; Irish Organic Farmers and Growers Assocation; Organic Trust;
